Elastic Potential Energy

`U = 1/2 * k * d^2`
Calculator of the elastic potential energy of a spring.
Enter 'x' in the field to be calculated.

This tool calculates the potential elastic energy of a spring with one end fixed and the other end is in extension or compression. The calculation formula used is as follows:

`U = 1/2 * k * d^2`

d: spring extension or compression in meter
k: spring constant in N/m
U: Joule spring elastic potential energy

Special case
When d = 0, the spring is neither extended nor compressed, ie it is in its normal state: the elastic potential energy is zero in this case.
