The Body Fat % estimates the percentage of fat in the body.
There are several methods for estimating Body Fat. In this calculator we use the best known method, namely the Deurenberg formula. This gives for an adult,
IMG = (1.2 × BMI) + (0.23 × age) - (10.8 × S) - 5,4,
BMI is the Body Mass Index (for more details: BMI Calculator),
S = 1 for a man and 0 for a woman.
